"MAIS OUI" Y'ALL?
Great Acadian Awakening

website is officially "awake"!

Our first billingual site (and certainly not the last to be sure) is up and running for the 2011 Acadian gathering Grand Rèveil Acadien. Lots of neat stuff is planned for this 14 day celebration with locales all accross southern Louisiana.

gill-landryWHAT CAN WE SAY? WE'RE FANS.
Gill Landry's new website is almost as mysterious as he is...almost.

Jillian had a heck of a time talking the man in black into a mostly white website, but what would the darkness be without the light? Pretty deep, huh? Highlighting Gill's stellar photography was our aim with this design, giving us all that sinking feeling that we haven't really done enough awesome traveling, and that we should really get around to doing that...sometime.

WHILE THE WORLD WORKS "FOR" THE WEEKEND, WE WORK "ON" IT
At least sometimes...OK, Bram does it all the time...

We're pleased to announce the launch of four great new WORKagencies websites. All of these folks are doing really neat things! We love them!

The Hub City Farmer's Market promotes local food and farmers and offers organic produce, eggs, chicken, tilapia and lots of other homemade goodies. They also feature local craft artists on the third weekend of each month.

Wood Elements is actually our father's wood-turning business based in Nashville, TN. He almost exclusively uses sustainable American hardwoods to meticulously craft his original designs for kitchen and garden implements, among with many other fine (and useful!) items. Visit him on Etsy.com to shower gifts on your friends and loved ones.

Joie de Vivre is a mixed-use workforce housing development still in the planning and funding stages. It is set to go up almost right across the street from our homes and office location in downtown Lafayette. The project promises lots of green space, walkability and transportation options for residents without vehicles, retail space (including a grocery store!) and green building features.  Most importantly, it will provide affordable housing to artist and musician-types (cultural gems!) and the diverse urban workforce that drives the downtown economy.

The Acadiana Outreach Center is another neighbor of ours in downtown Lafayette. They provide basic human services to under-served citizens, as well as treatment for addiction. They feed families and provide gifts for children during the holidays. They have created art therapy and other social enterprise projects which enrich the community and the lives of those they serve.

It's about time...

Jillian is back at it again, pulling it all together with the gang of formerly boyish Cajun gypsy swingers, the Red Stick Ramblers. This year, we're celebrating with a brand new website, which we feels captures the quirky cuteness of the whole ordeal, or at least the quirky cuteness of Jillian's brain. People seem to like it, anyway.

The always amazing South Louisiana Black Pot Festival & Cook-Off nears once again this October for a weekend of Cajun elbow rubbing the likes of which you've never seen. Mingle with Cajun celeberties whilst sampling piping hot gumbos and the loudest spiciest cracklin's you've ever tasted. Dance with your loved ones (or strangers) on the smooth springy wooden dance floor and howl at the moon from your campsite when the music is done. If that doesn't sound like a good time, we don't know what does.
